Mounties in Port Coquitlam are investigating a robbery at a business on Shaughnessy Street that happened Friday morning. CTV News received a report that the Vancity bank branch in the 2800 block of the street had been robbed and asked Coquitlam RCMP to confirm the incident. The detachment did not identify the affected business, but confirmed it had responded to a robbery on that block around 11:35 a.m. “This investigation is still active and ongoing, no further information is available at this time,” Mounties said in an email. The bank branch was closed Friday afternoon. “Because of a building emergency, we’re temporarily closed,” read a sign on the door. “We don’t have an estimated reopening time.”
