Police say someone with a slingshot is creating “mischief” in the rural town of Sparwood, B.C. A news release from the Elk Valley RCMP explains that someone has been using a slingshot to shoot metal ball bearings at the windows of homes and vehicles. Mounties say they received reports of suspects smashing windows this way on June 9 and 10 on Pine Avenue between Balsam Street and Mountain Ash Crescent. Anyone with information or surveillance footage that could help identify the suspects has been asked to call the Elk Valley RCMP at 250-425-6233. Fewer than 5,000 people live in Sparwood, according to Statistics Canada.
