The Abbotsford Police Department says officers caught a man driving a stolen car while impaired over the weekend. According to a social media post, plainclothes officers were patrolling at Immel Plaza around 11 a.m. when they spotted a stolen vehicle. “When the driver exited the vehicle, officers safely took the individual into custody,” the department wrote. “Further investigation revealed the driver was not only operating a stolen vehicle but was also impaired by alcohol.” The 57-year-old now faces criminal charges for possessing a stolen vehicle and impaired driving, according to police.
