No one was seriously hurt after a car crashed through the entrance of a poke restaurant in downtown Vancouver Friday morning. Around 10 a.m., a collision between two vehicles at Nelson and Hornby streets sent one of them into the business, according to the Vancouver Police Department. “At this time, nothing is criminal in nature and no reported injuries at this time,” a police spokesperson told CTV News. The impact shattered the windows of Pokerrito, and the sidewalk in front of the restaurant was littered with broken glass. B.C. Emergency Health Services says it sent an ambulance to the scene, but nobody required transport to hospital. Amar Alkhlil told CTV News he was standing outside his barbershop after finishing a client’s haircut when the crash happened. He says the SUV was rear-ended at the intersection and narrowly missed a mother walking with her baby as it drove into the storefront. There was one person inside the restaurant at the time but she was near the back and wasn’t hit, according to Alkhlil. He also said both drivers were shaken, but appeared OK.
