Mounties say one person is dead after a home caught fire in Maple Ridge Tuesday morning. According to the Maple Ridge RCMP, local firefighters called them to a residential structure burning on the 21400 block of 123 Avenue, near Creston Street, at around 6:30 a.m. “One deceased individual has been located within the residence,” police said in a statement, noting the person’s identity has yet to be confirmed. Maple Ridge RCMP are investigating the fire and said, “There is no information to suggest the fire is suspicious,” but explained that all potential causes are being considered this early in the investigation. Police say they won’t release any further information at this time.
