Ethan Faber
News Director
Ethan Faber was named director of news and current affairs at CTV News Vancouver in 2021 after two decades as an on-air reporter, producer and managing editor with CTV News. Ethan has led the Vancouver newsroom through its transition from a television news station to a fully digital journalism operation serving multiple broadcast, online and social media platforms. Ethan is a winner of numerous journalism awards including the national Edward R. Murrow award for overall excellence and the Canadian Screen Award for Canada’s best local news. Ethan is an expert trainer with Journalists for Human Rights and spent many years as a journalism instructor for the B.C. Institute of Technology. He sits on the professional advisory councils for the digital media and journalism programs at B.C.I.T. and Fanshawe College and is a national board member for the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council.
