Two people have been arrested after two people were injured in a dispute in a parking lot in Richmond Hill on Tuesday evening. York Regional Police said they received a weapons call in the area of Yonge Street and Elgin Mills Road East at 6 p.m. Police arrived and determined that the incident was a result of a dispute between parties known to each other. Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The nature of the injuries is not immediately known. They noted that no other suspects are outstanding. “There is no ongoing threat to public safety,” police said. It is unknown what prompted the dispute. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
