Man accused of stealing $200K worth of computer-related items in dozens of Peel Region break-ins: police

Peel police say a 39-year-old man has been charged in 31 break-and-enters that resulted in the theft of about $200,000 worth of computer-related items.

According to police, between September 2025 and February 2026, police identified a “pattern of break-and-enter” offences, resulting in about $200,000 in stolen computer-related items.

Police say that in one incident, the suspect entered a business in Mississauga and took 15 laptops valued at $35,000.

“Through further investigation and coordination with Toronto Police Service and Halton Regional Police Service, it was determined that similar offences had also occurred in Toronto and Halton Region,” police said in a news release issued Tuesday.

The accused, identified by police as Kenneth Levy, of Mississauga, was charged with 62 offences.

Police said he was located on board a train headed to Montreal and was arrested with the assistance of the Kingston Police Service, Ottawa Police Service, Cornwall Community Police Service, and VIA Rail.

“Levy was held in custody pending a bail hearing and is expected to face additional charges from Toronto Police Service and Halton Regional Police Service,” the news release read.
