The eastbound express lanes of Highway 401 were blocked in Mississauga for much of the day on Friday but have since reopened. The closure went into place at Creditview Road just before 8 a.m. and the lanes did not reopen until around 2:45 p.m. “This is east of Mississauga Road. Essentially, a collision involving somewhat of a jack-knifed tractor trailer,” CP24 Traffic Specialist Lisa Morales said earlier in the day. “Some of the backup on approach really extends as far back as Winston Churchill towards where the express and collector lanes begin, and the westbound lanes are also impacted through the collision site.”
