A 40-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed in downtown Brampton on Tuesday, police say. The incident happened at a residential address on McMurchy Avenue North, near Queen and Main streets. “At this time, investigators are working to determine how the injuries were sustained,” Peel Regional Police told CTV News Toronto late Tuesday afternoon. Ornge air ambulance tells CTV News it is transporting one patient with critical injuries. He was taken to a local trauma centre for treatment, said police, who later described the victim’s injuries as non-life-threatening. The circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain unclear, they said. Officers remain on scene as the investigation is ongoing.
