1 dead after dirt bike, SUV crash in Mississauga: police

A motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Argentia Rd. and Kitimat Rd.

A man in his 20s is dead after a dirt bike and SUV collided in Mississauga late Sunday night.

Peel police say the collision occurred at around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Argentia and Kitimat roads, near Erin Mills Parkway and Mississauga Road.

“Investigators believe the dirt bike was travelling eastbound on Argentia Road and the SUV was travelling westbound on Argentia road. For unknown reasons, the two collided,” police said in an email to CP24.

The victim, identified as a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead shortly after the arrival of first-responders.

The other driver involved was not injured and remained at the scene, police said.
