Two suspects charged in multimillion-dollar auto theft at Oakville dealership

As many as eight suspects were captured on surveillance cameras breaking through a glass window before making off with eight vehicles.

Police say two suspects are facing charges following a break-in at an Oakville car dealership, where a group of masked individuals made off with roughly $2-million worth of luxury automobiles.

Video of the Jan. 11 incident at Lockwood Leasing, near the Queen Elizabeth Way and Fourth Line, was obtained by CTV News Toronto and shows as many as eight suspects storming through the broken glass door and into the showroom.

The suspects then make their way to a lockbox, which they pry open with what appears to be a crowbar. Then, each suspect takes a key and starts a vehicle before the video ends.

Manager Mark Kusiewicz told CP24 at the time that a Ferrari, worth approximately $620,000, a Porsche 911 GT3, a Porsche 911 Carrera, two M4 BMWs, and two S-class 580 Mercedes were among the vehicles stolen.

Police said they were able to locate one BMW, a Mercedes, a Porsche and the Ferrari, all of which were found abandoned and unoccupied in the Greater Toronto Area.

In an update Monday, investigators said they were made aware of the recovery of the Porsche 911 by Peel Regional Police on Jan. 12. Two men were arrested at that time and police said investigators have linked them to the break-in.

Amin Hadj Kaddour, 24, of Mississauga and Joshua Twa’colagiacomo, 24, of Victoria Harbour, Ont., are each charged with break-and-enter and disguise with intent.

Both were granted bail, according to Halton police. They added that the suspects are also facing unspecified charges in Peel Region as a result of their arrests there.

“Investigators are continuing to search for the outstanding vehicles and suspects and are asking anyone with information regarding this investigation to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216,” police said in a news release.
