Tow truck fire in Scarborough deemed suspicious by Toronto police

Police say three vehicles were set on fire, including one tow truck, overnight near Birchmount and Lawrence in Scarborough.

Toronto police say a tow truck fire in Scarborough on Thursday morning is being investigated as suspicious.

The fire broke out near Birchmount and Ellesmere roads shortly before 1 a.m.

Police said at least one tow truck was involved, along with two other vehicles.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the blaze is being investigated as suspicious, police said.

No one was injured and police have not provided any information on possible suspects.
