What’s open and what’s closed for the civic holiday weekend in Toronto

With the first August weekend upon us and summer in full swing, here’s what you need to know about what’s open and closed for the civic holiday.

Sunny skies are expected Friday, while rain is in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday.

Banks, government offices and Toronto Public libraries will all be closed on Monday.

Select LCBO and Beer Store locations will be open during the civic holiday as well.

• Ontario Science Centre - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Ripley’s Aquarium - 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
• Casa Loma - 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Allan Gardens Conservatory - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Aga Khan Museum – 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Centreville Amusement Park – 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Taking transit?

Those taking the TTC will see fairly regular service this weekend, apart from those taking line 6.

On Monday, service along Line 6 - Finch West will begin at 4 p.m. “due to planned signalling software upgrade work” the TTC said in a statement.

Shuttle buses will be running.

Go Train service on Monday will operate on a Saturday schedule.

UP express train will run according to it’s holiday/weekend schedule.
