Toronto plunged into deep freeze once again. Here is how cold it will get

Environment Canada said the strong winds could produce periods of reduced visibility due to the lake effect flurries and blowing snow.

It was another windy and cold day in Toronto on Tuesday, with gusts of up to 80 km/h following overnight snowfall.

A special weather statement was in effect for most of the day but has since been lifted.

Torontonians woke up to two to four centimetres of snow on the ground Tuesday. Flurries are expected throughout the morning amid local blowing snow.

The city will see a high of -3 C today and a low of -10 overnight. The wind chill will make it feel like -22 this morning and -15 this evening.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for a high of -1 C amid increasing cloudiness. The temperature will climb above freezing on Thursday with a high of 6 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers.

Friday marks the first day of spring, and the temperature will reach a high of 5 C with a chance of rain showers and flurries.
