A Mississauga man has been charged in connection with an investigation into fraudulent activity used to access cryptocurrency accounts. Ontario Provincial Police said their investigation began in May 2023, and last month, they searched a home in Mississauga, resulting in the seizure of multiple electronic devices. OPP did not provide further details about the investigation. They arrested 24-year-old Jun Yi Wu and charged him with identity theft, fraud, use of a forged document and identity fraud. Wu has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Brampton court on Oct. 1.
