A man has been arrested and charged after a business was set on fire in Toronto’s Danforth Village over the weekend. It happened on Saturday evening, shortly after 6 p.m., inside a business near the area of Danforth and Sibley avenues. According to Toronto police, the suspect arrived at the entrance of the building and waited near the door for a short period before leaving. A fire then broke out from where the suspect last was, causing “extensive damage,” police said in a news release. On Monday, police arrested Phillip Richardson, 57, of no fixed address. He was charged with two counts of arson and two counts of breach of probation. The charges have not been proven in court.
