Toronto Blue Jays’ first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is jumpstarting the gift-giving season. On Thursday, Guerrero shared two posts to his Instagram story of his mother, Riquelma Ramos, seated in the driver’s seat of a shiny new SUV, complete with a big red bow on the hood. The vehicle appears to be a brand-new Lexus LX with the caramel sunset leather interior. That particular interior is only available for the Executive VIP models for both 2026 and 2027, which is roughly an additional $42,000 to its existing $150,000-ish price tag. Guerrero posted a photo of his mom flashing a peace sign with a toothy grin, holding onto the steering wheel with her free hand. The picture is captioned with “Te amo te mereces eso y más”, which directly translates in English as: “I love you, you deserve that and more.” In a YouTube video posted to his Team Guerrero 27 account on the same “unforgettable day,” Guerrero is visiting his mother at her home in Gurabo, a suburb located in the northeast section of Santiago de los Caballeros, in the Dominican Republic. The vlog also documented Guerrero, his family and friends attending an Eladio Carrion concert, who performed there on Halloween night. Guerrero is coming off of a rough season with the Blue Jays, who struggled offensively this season and hit only nine home runs. He came under fire for his comments about the 14-year, $500-million contract extension he signed with the team in 2025, though he later walked it back and apologized. The all-star has previously said he would take time this off-season to rest, both physically and mentally, so he can return the following season strong and focused.
