The Toronto Blue Jays will unveil a new “Hall of Excellence” at Rogers Centre this summer as part of the club’s 50th season celebrations. In a news release, officials say the new concourse display, set to open Aug. 29, will honour players, coaches, builders and broadcasters who have shaped the franchise over five decades. The display will be located on the 100 Level behind right field, featuring memorabilia tied to some of the team’s most iconic moments and figures. The space will include all 11 members currently recognized on the team’s Level of Excellence, with plans to expand the Hall over the next five seasons. Legendary Buck Martinez to be inducted Longtime broadcaster and former player and manager, Buck Martinez is set to be inducted during a special pregame ceremony on Aug. 29. Martinez spent nearly 40 years with the organization, becoming one of the most recognizable voices in Canadian baseball. “Buck has been one of the defining voices of the Blue Jays, and his passion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to this organization embody everything the Hall of Excellence represents,” team president and CEO Mark Shapiro said in a statement. Officials say the first 15,000 fans in attendance that day will also receive a “unique Buck Martinez Legacy bobblehead.” A milestone season for the franchise The Hall of Excellence is part of a broader season-long celebration marking the Blue Jays’ 50th year. The anniversary campaign follows a dramatic 2025 season that saw the team fall one win short of a World Series title against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team opens its 2026 home schedule March 27, where a pregame ceremony will honour the club’s 2025 American League championship. Additional plans for the anniversary season include a commemorative uniform patch, themed game days, historical installations throughout the ballpark and a statue recognizing the franchise’s back-to-back World Series championships.
