Police charged a 56-year-old man from Toronto after he allegedly downloaded an undisclosed quantity of child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Toronto Police Service (TPS)said they executed a search warrant on Monday at a home in the Swansea neighbourhood near Windermere and Morningside avenues. The warrant was undertaken by TPS’ Internet Child Exploitation Section, as part of an ongoing investigation into the downloading of sexual abuse material. Police charged Peter Thompson with three counts of various child sexual abuse-related offences, including possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material. The charges have not been tested in court.
