TORONTO -- Filly Lexie Lou captured the 115th running of the $1-million Queen's Plate on Sunday.

The Woodbine Oaks winner, the 3/1 second choice, covered the 1 1/4-mile race in an unofficial time of 2:03.94 on the polytrack at Woodbine Racetrack to earn trainer Mark Casse his first-ever Plate victory.

Ami's Holiday finished second in the 15-horse field, with Asserting Bear taking third in Canada's most prestigious race.

We Miss Artie, the 9/5 favourite, was fourth.

The second jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown is the $500,000 Prince of Wales Stakes, which will go July 29 at Fort Erie Racetrack.
