Drake showed some love for one of Canada's most impressive athletes at the Rio Games by posting a photo of her on his Instagram account on Saturday morning.

The Toronto-born rapper shared a photo of 16-year-old swimmer Penny Oleksiak, also from Toronto, on his social media account, tagging Oleksiak and adding the caption: "We are so proud of you!!!! Can't wait to see you when you are back from Rio at a show!"

Oleksiak won her fourth medal of the games on Thursday night -- gold in the 100-metre freestyle -- to become Canada's most decorated athlete at a single Summer Olympic Games.

She anchored the women's 4x100 and 4x200 freestyle relay teams to bronze medals and added a silver in the 100 butterfly. Oleksiak is back at the pool Saturday night with a chance at a fifth medal in the 4x100 individual medley relay.

Oleksiak replied to Drake's Instagram post, which had over 100,000 likes within an hour of him posting it, with: "no words right now, thank you so much."

The photo is of Oleksiak wearing a red Canada T-shirt while standing in front of the pool.
