I can’t stand it when my lips are dry and flaky, so I always have a lip treatment on me. After a lot of trial and error, I’ve found that I prefer the texture and benefits of a lip mask over a waxy balm, and I’ve tried my fair share, from luxury brands to drugstore bestsellers. I also appreciate that the cap has a flat side, which makes it easy to stand up.

The colour selection is decent, with six shades and six scents to choose from. I ended up selecting Shea So Smooth. It has a sweet scent that appealed to me more than the fruity and floral options in the collection. The shade is a soft beige that applies pretty much clear on my lips and gives them a high-gloss finish.

Now, let’s talk ingredients. The formula includes hyaluronic acid, mango seed butter, jojoba seed oil, ceramides, and castor oil. This ultra-hydrating blend drenches lips in moisture and locks it in over time. The lip mask promises 12 hours of hydration, and while that high-shine glossy finish doesn’t last on my lips for more than five hours, they do feel moisturized for a really long time.

As for texture, the mask feels thick enough to cover my lips without globbing up and giving me that sticky feeling when I open and close my mouth. It coats my lips and moisturizes them without feeling like I’ve used too much product, even when I do put more than what I need. This makes it comfortable to wear for longer stretches
