Two people were taken to hospital after a vehicle struck a light standard in Saskatoon Friday evening. Saskatoon police said the crash was reported shortly after 5 p.m., at the intersection of Attridge Drive and Central Avenue. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were both taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said. Members of the Collision Analyst Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation. Police said the scene had been cleared by 8:40 p.m., but traffic restrictions were expected to remain in place for several hours while city crews repaired the damaged light standard.
