Saskatoon police arrested and charged a teenage boy in connection to several firearms offences on Monday morning. Officers were called to the 400 block of Central Avenue for a report of a “male with a firearm” around 7:10 a.m., according to an update from the Saskatoon Police Service on Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found a teenage boy inside a home where he was arrested. Police also found and seized a firearm from the room he was located in. The 15-year-old has been charged with storing a firearm or restricted weapon contrary to regulations, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession knowing its serial number has been tampered with, possession contrary to prohibition order, assault and breach of court-imposed conditions. He was scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday.
