A Saskatoon man is in hospital, and now faces charges, after accidentally shooting himself while taking a gun apart. According to Saskatoon police, officers were called to a home in the 100 block of Avenue S South at around 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 18, for a report of an injured person. Police arrived to find a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. An investigation found he’d been attempting to break down the gun when it fired and injured him. He was taken to hospital and now faces seven weapons-related charges, police say.
