Parts of northern Saskatchewan are under a heavy rainfall warning, with Environment Canada projecting 40 to 60 mm of rain over the coming days. Affected areas include Buffalo Narrows, Pinehouse Lake, Candle Lake, Montreal Lake, Prince Albert National Park, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, Creighton, Cumberland House and surrounding highway areas. In a warning issued Friday morning, the weather agency says rain will spread eastward across the province Friday and continue through Saturday. “Rain will be mixed with wet snow at times Saturday before changing over to snow Saturday night. Snow will end before Sunday,” Environment Canada said. The weather agency says water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas, and local utility outages are possible.
