"Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton have made more decisions on their upcoming wedding," Clarence House, the prince's office, announced on Twitter Wednesday morning to royal watchers eager for more details.

The palace announced how the royal couple will arrive and depart from the April 29 wedding, what route they will take, and who will preside over the ceremony.

CTV's Scott Laurie reports the couple will arrive humbly to their nuptials but depart in grand style.

"Unlike Diana, in 1981 when she got married, they'll be taken by car to Westminster Abbey but they'll be taking a carriage to go back," Laurie told CTV's Canada AM from London, shortly after the details were released.

Middleton will travel to the church through some of London's most historic sites including Parliament Square, Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and Parliament Square. She'll then arrive for the service at 11:00 a.m. local time.

Three ministers will then take part in the service.

"The Dean of Westminster, the Very Rev. Dr. John Hall will actually conduct the wedding," Laurie reports. "The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, will actually marry them, and there will be an address at Westminster Abbey by the Bishop of London, the Right Rev. Richard Chartres."

The newlyweds will then travel to Buckingham Palace by carriage following the same route by which Middleton arrived. The route is expected to be lined with well-wishers anxious for a glimpse of the couple.

The prince and his new bride will then keep with tradition by making a brief appearance on the palace balcony.

"If we don't get an appearance on the balcony there could be mutiny on the streets," royal commentator Robert Jobson told CTV News. "I'm sure that we'll get the kiss on the balcony."

Next will come a Buckingham Palace reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II, William's grandmother. Officials say the guest list will be drawn from the wedding congregation and will include representatives from the couple's official and private lives.

In the evening, when the dignitaries have left, Prince Charles will then host a dinner and dance for the couple at Buckingham Palace. The couple's close friends and family will be invited, Charles' office said.

Charles' representatives said further details will be announced as the wedding date nears.

While the update will surely excite devoted royal watchers, some key details have yet to be revealed. There has been no word yet on the honeymoon, and the guest list still remains a mystery. Most important of all for many: there is still no word about Middleton's choice of a designer for her wedding gown.

"The palace is obviously trying to drip, drip the information out to keep some interest in the wedding right up until the date," Jobson said.
