Those with a sweet tooth in Regina have something to look forward to, as the city will soon welcome a well-known cookie brand. Mayor Chad Bachynski made the announcement during his remarks at Thursday’s State of the City address. “I know my kids are going to be excited — Regina’s very own Crumbl Cookie,” Bachynski said to applause. “Lots of people were waiting for that one.” Crumbl, the American bakery chain known for its elaborate desserts, will set up shop in the Aurora shopping centre in east Regina, according to Bachynski. Founded in 2017 in Utah, the bakery chain quickly exploded in popularity on social media thanks to its photogenic approach to baked goods and a rotating lineup of flavours and themed treats. Crumbl co-founder Jason McGowan was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alta. The company now operates bakeries across the United States and Canada. Crumbl opened its first Canadian location in Edmonton, while Saskatoon welcomed the second in 2023. CTV News has reached out to Crumbl for more information.
