Regina police have charged a 15-year-old following a weapons-related incident in the city’s east end. At 4:20 p.m. on April 16, 2026, officers were called to the 3000 block of Arens Road after a report that someone had pointed a firearm at a person in a parked vehicle, according to the Regina Police Service (RPS). When police arrived, the vehicle and suspect were no longer at the scene. Due to safety concerns, the RPS Tactical Support Team was called in to assist. Investigators determined the suspect was inside a nearby residence. He was located and taken into custody without incident. Police say a BB gun was recovered and seized during the search. As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old male who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act is charged with assault with a weapon, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and possessing a weapon. The youth made his first court appearance in Regina Provincial Youth Court on April 17.
