The usual cheering in support of the Green and White at Mosaic Stadium will be temporarily replaced with pleas for encores and similar chants – as the Foo Fighters prepare to take over Regina. The Queen City marks the band’s second of four Canadian stops on their latest tour. The group’s performance on Tuesday will represent the first time since 2019 that a musical act has performed at Mosaic Stadium. It’s a show that is giving the REAL District a lot of confidence. “Its really just using this as a reflection of Regina ready to host concerts like this,” Kyle Russell, vice president of operations and experience at the REAL District, told CTV News. But before you go to the biggest musical performance the city has seen in seven years – there are some things to know before you go. “You aren’t able to bring in bottles for example, so we do have fans that are used to bringing in water bottles but that’s not something you’ll bring into the concert,” Russell explained. “A lot of the rules are very similar to the Rider games just because they are venue rules so the best thing to do is check realdistrict.ca to see exactly what you should plan for when you are coming to the show.” Much like Saskatchewan Roughrider games, only clear bags will be allowed inside. However, there’s a ‘monkey wrench’ being thrown into transportation plans – as there won’t be any shuttle service before or after the concert. Road closures will be enforced until midnight. “We do have a coordination plan with city services so we’ve been in very close talks with Regina police with the fire department, with the City of Regina just to make sure everyone is keeping safe both at the concert and as they get to and from the show,” Russell added. If you are looking for merch and want to beat the lines, a separate booth outside the stadium will open at 2pm before gates open at 4 p.m. The first opening act takes the stage at 5:30, with the headliners going on at 8 p.m.
