Young Regina Pats star Liam Pue is being recognized for his great play this season. The 16-year-old, who the Pats selected 3rd overall in the 2025 Prospects Draft, has been named the WHL’s Rookie of the Month for September/October. The Langley product has 11 goals, including two hat tricks, in 11 games for the Pats this season — good for fourth most in the WHL. The three players with more goals have all played at least 13 games. Pue’s 18 points on the season are also the most amongst all 16-year-old players. The young winger has been named the WHL’s Rookie of the Month twice already this season. He’s currently away from the Pats, serving as Captain for Canada Red at the 2026 U17 World Challenge. Pue is eligible for the 2028 NHL Draft, where he’s considered one of the top prospects.
