In celebration of Islamic Heritage Month, entrepreneurs in Regina gathered to show off their different businesses. On Sunday at the Mitakuyé Owâs’ā Centre, vendors had the opportunity to share their different businesses, while also spreading awareness about Islamic culture. “We are not only a religious organization, we are a business support organization, especially for newcomers and writers,” said Sadna Isik, founder of the MeSaLinguistix Foundation. “We have a lot of resources, volunteers. We have a large number of professionals working with us. Let’s say they wanted to write a business proposal, a budget, accounting and marketing, media, everything — we are doing free for them.” The foundation aims to connect businesses who share common goals with one another. Isik added the group also empowers English as a Second Language (ESL) entrepreneurs. “We cannot forget businesses actually, they are the main supporters … Business is the only thing that we can connect and integrate in every community,” said Isik. She explained how the group brings bridges cultures, participates in prayers and interacts with business schools. People can find more about the group’s upcoming events on their page.
