Regina’s Globe Theatre is bringing the Disney classic Frozen to the stage with a 16 actor ensemble and a full creative team bring it to life. Months of planning and rehearsals will culminate in opening night on Friday. Behind the scenes, dozens of creative and technical staff are working to bring the magic of the Frozen to the theatre in the round, Characters that are portrayed as puppets in the Broadway musical will be played by human actors, with the help of creative magic behind the scenes. Regina born actor, David Michael Juma, will play the character of Olaf in his Globe Theatre debut. “From the movie, it’s everything you know and love, plus even more songs. There’s a beautiful story to it that resonates across relationships, across families,” he said. “It’s a show about sisters but it’s about so much more than that.” The story of Anna and Elsa has been warmly received in Regina, with the production already extended twice.
