The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League draft is now complete, with the Yorkton Terriers adding eight selections born in 2010 and 2011, including Medicine Hat Tigers prospect Duke Lesnar. Lesnar, 15, spent 2025-26 playing at the Calgary International Hockey Academy after spending a season with Notre Dame U15 Prep in Wilcox. He was drafted by the Western Hockey League’s Medicine Hat Tigers in the 2025 WHL Draft, the team describing him as a “physical player with a scoring touch.” Lesnar is the son of former UFC fighter and WWE superstar Brock Lesnar. Terriers head coach and GM Emery Olauson said he’s happy with the draft results, despite the team picking second last after making it to their first SJHL Championship since 2014, losing to the Flin Flon Bombers. “We’re very excited about the depth we were able to add to our list. The future continues to get brighter in Yorkton,” Olauson said. “Nash Tomchuk brings a combination of grit and offensive ability that we were excited to add on the back end.
