MONTREAL -- The state funeral for former Quebec premier Jacques Parizeau will be held Tuesday afternoon in Montreal.

The Quebec government says the service for the man who was premier during the 1995 provincial referendum will take place at the Saint-Germain-D'Outremont church.

Parizeau's body will lie in state Saturday in the building of the Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, the province's pension fund manager that Parizeau helped create in the 1960s.

Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard has announced the building will be named after Parizeau.

Parizeau's body will also lie in state Sunday in the provincial legislative building in Quebec City.

Parizeau died Monday night at the age of 84.
