The Ottawa chapter of 100 Women Who Care is celebrating a historic milestone, having officially raised over half a million dollars for local grassroots charities. Member Kimberley Wilson joins Your Morning Ottawa to explain the "magic of the collective give": four times a year, members meet for just one hour to nominate, vet, and donate to organizations making a direct impact in the National Capital Region. Since becoming the second chapter in Canada in 2014, the group has utilized a simple but powerful model of $100 donations to support "in the trenches" charities that are often overlooked.
