Olympic speed skater Ivanie Blondin returned to her home rink at the Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Complex in Orleans to meet with the next generation of Ottawa athletes. CTV’s Leah Larocque speaks with Blondin, who brought home a gold medal in the team pursuit alongside Isabelle Weidemann and Valérie Maltais, as well as a silver medal in the mass start from the Milan Games. Blondin reflects on her journey from the outdoor rinks of St. Louis Street to the Olympic podium, sharing her success with parents, coaches, and young skaters from her former club.
