Ottawa police say a woman has died after suffering a “medical event” while crossing the street in Blackburn Hamlet last night. Emergency crews responded to a call at the intersection of Innes Road and Bearbrook Road at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Sunday. An Ottawa Police Service spokesperson told CTV News Ottawa the woman died after “experiencing a medical event while crossing the road.” “There was no collision involved.” An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson said a woman was transported to hospital in critical condition.
