Vehicle crashes into Barrhaven gas bar

A man was treated for minor injuries after his vehicle crashed into a Barrhaven gas bar Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews responded to a call at 8:42 a.m. about an SUV that had driven into a building at the Petro Canada on Fallowfield Road at Woodroffe Avenue.

A photo sent to CTV News Ottawa showed the SUV had crashed into the side of a building at the gas station.

An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson said paramedics treated the driver of the SUV for minor injuries and he was transported to hospital.

Police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The Ottawa Fire Services structural collapse team was on the scene to secure the building.
