One person remains in critical condition after a head-on crash in Ottawa’s south end on Monday afternoon. Ottawa paramedics say first responders were called to the intersection of Hawthorne and Leitrim roads shortly before 3 p.m. A man and a woman in separate vehicles were transported to hospital by ambulance in serious, but stable condition, according to a paramedics spokesperson. Ottawa police said Tuesday morning that the man, who is in his 40s, remains in hospital and is in critical condition. Roads were closed in the area during the investigation on Monday. Ottawa police are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and has not yet spoken to the police.
