Ontario Provincial Police say three people were taken to hospital following a crash near Rockland, just east of Ottawa, on Tuesday. The head-on crash involved four vehicles, according to the OPP, and happened on Highway 17, between Carmen Bergeron Street and Canaan Road, at around 11 a.m. Ottawa Paramedic Service superintendent of public information Marc-Antoine Deschamps told CTV News Ottawa that Ottawa paramedics took one patient to the hospital, while two others were transported by Prescott-Russell paramedics. The OPP said the victims’ injuries were not considered life-threatening. OPP closed the road to vehicles for several hours for the investigation. The road reopened at around 3:40 p.m.
