Temperatures in Ottawa could get close to 30 C this weekend after a cloudy Friday with a chance of showers. Environment Canada’s weather forecast for the capital calls for a high of 23 C and a humidex on Friday under a mainly cloudy sky. There is a 40 per cent chance of showers with a risk of a thunderstorm. Overnight, expect a low of 14 C with fog patches developing near midnight. Saturday’s forecast is partly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 27 C with a humidex of 30. Sunday’s forecast is mainly sunny with a high of 28 C. Monday could see a high of 29 C. Temperatures in the low 30s are in the long-term forecast to end June and kick off July.
