A third person is facing charges in connection with the death of a Clarence-Rockland man whose body was found in the Ottawa River east of Ottawa last year. Robert Prevost, 63, was reported missing in March 2025. His body was found in the Ottawa River near Dallaire Street in Clarence-Rockland on May 17. Ontario Provincial Police ruled Prevost’s death a homicide. On Thursday, the OPP announced Yvon Vieno, 38, of Ottawa is facing charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and indignity to a body. The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Thursday. On June 4, the OPP announced Luc Decarie, 51, of St-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Que., had been charged with first-degree murder and indignity to a body. On June 12, Jessica St. Michael, a 37-year-old from Ottawa, was charged with first-degree murder and indignity to a body. “The Russell County OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service,” the OPP said.
