An SUV was removed from Ottawa’s Dow’s Lake Thursday morning, more than two days after a driver drove off the road and crashed into the water. Emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle crash along Queen Elizabeth Driveway at 8:15 p.m. Monday. The Ottawa Police Service told CTV News Ottawa the driver was able to exit the vehicle before it sank. The lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to hospital as a precaution. On Thursday, a crane lifted the SUV out of the water and placed it onto a flatbed track. The RCMP is leading the investigation. “This remains an active investigation, hence, no further details can be shared at this time,” the RCMP said in a statement to CTV News Ottawa.
