School buses are running in Ottawa, but student transportation is cancelled across eastern Ontario and the Ottawa Valley on Friday. A special weather statement is in effect for Ottawa, the Cornwall area, Prescott-Russell and the Ottawa Valley, calling for up to 10 centimetres of snow this afternoon and tonight. A yellow warning-snowfall is in effect for the Brockville, Merrickville, Kemptville, Smiths Falls and Perth areas, calling for up to 15 cm of snow. The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority says school buses are running in Ottawa today. School buses are cancelled for the following school boards: Schools are open.
