Several vehicles were damaged after hitting a “large pothole” on an on-ramp to Highway 417 in Ottawa’s east end, according to police. Ontario Provincial Police say vehicles “struck a large pothole” on St. Laurent Boulevard just before the eastbound on-ramp. “The vehicles have all suffered significant damage to their tires and/or rims,” Const. Michael Fathi said on X. “The City of Ottawa Roads Department has been notified and will be attending to repair the pothole.” Fathi tells CTV News Ottawa six vehicles suffered tire damage and/or damage to the rims. A photo posted by Ontario Provincial Police showed a two giant potholes on the onramp, along with several cracks in the pavement.
