Police identify victim of late-night homicide inside Gatineau, Que. strip club

Gatineau police have identified the victim of a late-night homicide at a strip club on Main Street last week.

Police responded to a call for reports of gunfire at Bar 77 in the Lac-Beauchamp district at approximately 11:30 p.m. last Thursday.

One victim was found with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

In an update in French on Monday, police said the incident is now being investigated as a homicide.

The victim was identified as Justine Larche, 39, of Gatineau.

No arrests have been made to date, police say. An investigation continues.

It’s the city of Gatineau’s first homicide of the year.
