Ottawa’s auditor general has launched a public survey seeking feedback from residents on the city’s recreational and cultural offerings. The survey is part of Nathalie Gougeon’s audit of the City of Ottawa’s recreational and cultural programs. “As part of the audit, the OAG (Office of the Auditor General) is seeking feedback from residents to better understand their awareness of, access to, and satisfaction with recreational and cultural programming offered by the City of Ottawa,” Gougeon’s office said in a news release. “The survey also provides an opportunity for residents who have not participated in City programs to share their perspectives and identify any barriers to participation.” Gougeon said resident feedback is an important component of the audit and will help provide insight into how Ottawa residents experience recreational and cultural programming in the capital. Questions include whether you’ve participated in a City of Ottawa program within the last two years, how easy it was to find information, and which services could be improved. “The survey will help the OAG better understand residents’ awareness of and access to these programs, factors that may influence participation and potential areas for the city to improve”, said Gougeon. The survey will be available on Engage Ottawa until Nov. 26.
