Ottawa to see 30 C temperatures all weekend

It will be a hot and humid weekend in Ottawa, with temperatures hitting 30 C and the humidex making it feel like 35.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for light rain to end Friday morning and then clearing today. High 28 C with the humidex making it feel like 35.

Partly cloudy tonight. Low 16 C.

Saturday will be mainly sunny. High 30 C.

Sunday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 30 C.

The hot and humid weather will continue next week.

Monday will be sunny with a high of 32 C.

Tuesday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 30 C.

Weather warnings lifted

The severe thunderstorm watch and warning have been lifted after a series of storms moved across the national capital region last night.

Environment Canada says 8.4 mm of rain was recorded at the Ottawa Airport on Thursday.

Ottawa has received 48 mm of rain so far in June.
